A big part of that was thanks to the professional and friendly team at Regal Air. Rebecca in the front office was outstanding — she went above and beyond to ensure every client felt looked after and happy. Our pilot, Dan, was equally impressive. A true professional, he not only navigated the flight with skill and confidence but also kept us informed and engaged with commentary on various landmarks along the way. Unfortunately, the weather kicked up during our flight to the glacier. Due to safety concerns, we had to return. As we headed back, I was disappointed, but grateful that they put safety first. I started to dread the awkward conversation about getting some portion of the trip reimbursed. This awkward conversation never happened! When we walked in, Tony was friendly and apologetic. He joked about not being able to control the weather but made it clear that their pilots are instructed to put safety above everything else and offered a full refund. So, they put safety first, which means we couldn’t have the exact experience we had hoped. However, they handled the situation fairly and they were great communicators throughout. On our last day in Anchorage, we decided to take the Denali tour. Sadly, the weather didn't want to cooperate! Regal Air went above and beyond by notifying us that we may need to change plans or cancel prior to arriving. We decided to take a shorter flight tour instead, which was still fun. Regal ended up refunding us the difference from the original tour. That was very nice of them to do. We trust our high-end clientele, as well as our personal families and young kids with them. Dealing with logistics and weather in Alaska is very challenging and Regal does a great job of juggling those logistics to put safety first while providing amazing bush plane experiences of all kinds.
