Wild Salmon on Parade was started as a community event in 2006. Local artists are each given a full size king salmon blank model, to which they can decorate, paint, design and use any way they like. The event usually has about 30 – 40 finished and decorated salmon, which are then displayed during the summer months around the Anchorage are. From June through August you will find them swimming their way through city parks, browsing the downtown retailers, and strolling the sidewalks. At the end of the summer season these interesting, beautiful, and sometimes comical salmon are auctioned off at a charity event. Regal Air is pleased to be a sponsor of the event with a door prize donation; the donation is a fly out guided salmon fishing trip with Regal Air.

Wild Salmon on Parade will hold an Auction on Friday, September 11^th. The proceeds of this auction will go to Camp Fire USA, Alaska Botanical Garden, and the Anchorage Urban League.
